ABOUT US
The mission of the Foundation of the Florida Chapter is to make a positive impact on the health of the citizens of Florida through the continued education of cardiovascular specialists and support of research in cardiovascular diseases.

The Foundation carries out its mission by sponsoring lectures, hosting educational programs and providing funding to graduate cardiology trainees and students to attend educational meetings and seminars. In addition we support research directly and indirectly through support of other non-profit cardiovascular focused organizations.

OUR HISTORY
The Florida Chapter became the first chapter of the American College of Cardiology (ACC) and was awarded non-profit status in the state of Florida on September 29th, 1987. A group of Florida heart specialists saw the need for a state cardiovascular society in order to be represented. The Foundation was created by the FCACC and awarded non-profit status as a 501c3 educational non-profit in 1998 to carry out the educational mission of the chapter.
