The mission of the Foundation of the Florida Chapter is to make a positive impact on the health of the citizens of Florida through the continued education of cardiovascular specialists and support of research in cardiovascular diseases.

The Foundation carries out its mission by sponsoring lectures, hosting educational programs and providing funding to graduate cardiology trainees and students to attend educational meetings and seminars. In addition we support research directly and indirectly through support of other non-profit cardiovascular focused organizations.

HOW DOES YOUR DONATION IMPACT PATIENT CARE?

Your contribution makes it possible for the Foundation to host educational events that keep cardiovascular specialists interested in starting their practice here in Florida. Each year the Foundation, along with sponsoring several educational events, hosts a robust Young Investigators Award Competition and Young Investigators Poster Competition that showcases the work of Florida Fellows-in-Training (FIT). Our FITs not only present their research to a panel of judges but also the attendees of the Annual Meeting of the Florida Chapter. In addition they are able to become an attendee at the meeting and learn about what the practice environment is like, make contacts and network. Through this forum the Foundation promotes research and provides a forum for additional clinical and non-clinical skill development of our newest CV physicians.
